Are You Afraid To Submit Your Articles To More Than 1 Article Directory Because Of Duplicate Content?

As we all know article are great for driving great traffic to your website but with all the talk about duplicate content some people might think that they shouldn’t submit their article to more than one article directory but is that really true.

Firstly, this whole notion of duplicate content has grown and grown out of proportion online both by because of misinformation (Chinese whispers) in the forums among newbies and also by some people who use scaremongering as a way of selling you products.

Google has many rules and secrets up their selves to sort out all the content online, and duplicate content alone is but a small percentage of what they look at when it comes to giving high ranking in the search engines.

Google knows that the reason article directories exist is to provide quantities of information for other people to publish in their blogs, newsletters etc.

So to think that they’d punish you for submitting your articles to them, doesn’t add up?

Secondly, Jonathan Leger has proved that this is duplicate content myth is false with his own site www.ShareAPost.com which is made up of entirely other people’s blog content. Jonathan showed pictures of his website stats which showed that rather than Google running from his website it, it was sending its spiders to get the content indexed and then it even began sending it traffic.

Finally,

The only thing you need to know about when it comes to duplicate content and your articles is the link in your article’s resource box. If you are sending your readers to a site that contains the same article as they are reading, it could be seen as duplicate content and you could be penalized for it?

But in a small way!

If you’re still worried about this problem, the easy way to get around this problem is that if your article is the same on your site as the one you’ve submitted, you need to change around about 20% of the article content on your site.

This way your sites article is seen as “unique” to all the other articles on the other article directories.
